The purple ones are for Hannah

Hannah has really loved Easter. Even though she has only hunted Easter Eggs for 2 short years, she is a natural pro at it. This year we started with an exciting hunt at Grandma Schmid's house! Grandma cleverly hid two kinds of eggs, pink and purple, a color for each child to find, so that the Sammy's eggs could be hid a little harder, and Hannah would get a chance to find the easier hid ones.


She was so proud of herself, and both girls LOVED that they had their very own eggs special only for them.

Well following that egg hunt, we had a chance to hunt for more eggs at the Butler annual Easter party! The girls were rarin' to go and when the gate opened the youngest were allowed to go first to give them a head start, followed by the bigger kids.

Hannah, not realizing the rules had changed for this Easter egg hunt, only hunted for the purple eggs. In the picture below, you can see her passing by about 6 other eggs and heading straight for the purple one.

While hunting she noticed that one little boy had a purple egg in his basket. Sooo, she took it from his basket. In her mind it was hers after all. His grandma was helping him find Easter eggs and asked her to put it back in his basket. She was mortified. I came on the scene to her yelling NO NO NO NO NO! I then put the easter egg back in his basket, which she was even more upset about, and we spent about 15 minutes trying to convince her that the Easter egg was indeed his, and that she can find other colors besides purple.
