Daddy gets a taste :)
For all of you who didn't know I have gotten a part time night and weekend job at Pier 1 for the holidays. I have been working quite a bit and Jon in turn is getting ALOT more time with the girls by himself. The girls are loving spending more time with him, but Jon is beginning to feel the pain of how difficult it can be to be alone with the girls for long periods of time. The other day I came home from work to this picture - Jon was sitting on the floor surrounded in a huge pile of potato chips (the rest of the house was trashed too thanks to hurricane Hannah and stormy Sammy). In one hand he held a shop vacuum, and in the other hand was a crying naked Hannah. I don't even remember where Sammy was. I walked in the door and all it took was one look to tell me everything that had happened to get him to that point. It was very cute (even if he didn't think so), but it also made me realize how I must look on some days when he comes home from work. I don't know if either of us will ever get this stay at home thing, but one thing is for sure, it is creating memories to last a lifetime.

I'll add your blog to my list! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome. Go Jon! I'd say potato chips everywhere and a shop vac in hand is a good day. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny! Way to go Jon!
ReplyDeleteHa! Hopefully he will have more empathy for you. Little kids take their toll. I have to get lots of sleep to keep up with mine.
